MEET THE AFRICAN WOMAN THAT IS NOW IN CHARGE OF WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION (WTO)

When she takes office on 1 March, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala will become the first woman to ever lead the Switzerland-based institution and the first African citizen to take on the role. Her term, renewable, will expire on 31 August 2025. However, this is not the first time that Okonjo-Iweala makes history.
